Okanagan Mayhem Results

Div 3 (Rookie)

1. Hardcore Factory
2. Wombatz
3. Batteries Not Included
4. S-mart Factory # 1

Div 4 (Newbie)
1. Bankhead Hustlaz
2.Lucifers Legion
3. Smoke

Day 1 -
Started off wet, got wetter. Everyone toughed it out, never heard too much complaining. The wet took it toll on markers and hoppers shorting out in the water. All teams where having issues dealing with the wet.
Refs did what they could, lying in the mud was not that enjoyable.
The players were over sliding bunkers and falling down on their secondary bumps. It was just plain sloppy out there.

Day 2 -
Started off with partly cloudy sky?s and then continued to get warmer and warmer, and was hot by mid afternoon. The field dried up nicely.
The action got intense as the day wore on. Players rested up with decent breaks between the prelims and finals. The staging area had a feel of a family BBQ, with burgers being sold at the ?hut?.
Overall it was a great event, with tough competition.

Div 4, the Bankhead was looking strong. rolling their markers and pushing after working over the other team. Finishing the Prelims in 1st. Lucifer?s was hit and miss, but not giving up. putting in 2 strong games on Sunday got them in the at 2nd place, with Smoke just 4 points behind.

Div 3, Batteries not included were looking unstoppable, dropping only 2 games out of 13, losing only 1 or 2 players in a game. It didn’t seem to matter form which end they played, got early flag grabs and then just gun fought and pushed. Wombatz came out of a long coma, borrowed markers and gear for all the players and played like they had something to prove. Day 1 they dropped only 1 game and rarely lost more than 2 players. They started to loose momentum on Day 2, dropping the last 3 games. Still they came in second in the prelims. Smart Factory must of had a good sleep after a hit and miss day 1, they put together some strong games on day 2 and pushed up to 3rd in the prelims with hardcore factory not far behind.

The Finals
Div 4, Sunday, the hot weather, was much more enjoyable than the soup the previous day. The field was dry and getting fast with great traction. Top 3 teams to the finals, with 2 games each. Bankhead put in 2 very strong games only dropping 1 player in each game, for a decisive 1st. Lucifer?s dropped the 1st game, and must of changed up the plan, with a tough fight they dropped 3 players, and was enough to secure 2nd. Smoke was just not able to execute the game plan in the finals, leaving them with 3rd.

Div 3, After a long rest break, the days heat was still building. Batteries looked strong in the prelims and was the favourite to win. They came out weak in the first game, misjudged the breakout was able to get the first pull, but not able to close, They dropped the first game against Smart Factory.
Hardcore Factory came out strong, winning the first game with a full pull leaving the Wombatz with zero. Wombatz won the 2nd dropping only 2 players, and but not able to close the 3rd game with a pull but no hang, for a 2nd overall. Hardcore continued on a rampage, pushing the limits, with refs watching every move as close as possible. With some aggressive play they secured 1st with 3 wins. Batteries went flat, with winning only the 1 of 3 games, for 3rd. Leaving smart factory with 4th.
